The Omnivore’s Dilemma, by Michael Pollan explores the food production system from which the vast majority of American meals are made. You may be surprised at what is at the beginning of the industrial food chain.
This got me thinking. Not just about where the food we eat comes from, but what our different food choices say about our personalities. More specifically, ‘If I was a food, what kind of food would I be?‘ I think I’ve settled on the idea that I would be a green dragon roll (pictured). Not only are they a colourful and unique combination of ingredients, but they’re made to look like the back of a dragon when you order them at sushi restaurants– that’s pretty creative!
But, I may change my mind and decide I’d rather be either Nutella, or sweet potato fries. You never know. It’s good to have a few backups.
What food would you be?
On this day each year we force ourselves to remember some of the darkest moments in human history. We also commemorate some of humanity’s greatest triumphs of strength and spirit. We remember the men and women who have bravely sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

Stephen Ambrose tell the stories — often in the soldiers’ own words — of these American heroes.
Band Of Brothers is a fabulous book and was made into an HBO series co-produced by Stephen Spielberg and Tom Hanks. The stories of the men of Easy Company will touch your heart, and are ones that you will always remember.
Take a moment to reflect and honour the soldiers that have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.

With my inbox flooded with Christmas emails, the department stores decorated, and having seen at least 2 Christmas commercials while watching Ugly Betty last night, I am officially already stressing out about what to buy my friends and family for Christmas.
