The Power of Storytelling – The Books for Kids Charity
During the holidays Simply Audiobooks gave you the opportunity to donate to charity when a gift certificate purchase was made at checkout. It has just recently been announced, that because of you, we were able to raise $2,500 to donate to the Books for Kids charity. We were so thrilled that we wanted to share the news with you. With the amount raised, we were able to restock books in a Books for Kids library for give away books, and more!
The Books for Kids charity offers opportunities for lifelong success while emphasizing the fundamental value of literacy. They donate books and establish libraries in underserved institutions such as pre-schools and day cares, guaranteeing a child a brand new book to take home and share with their family.
I thought this was great news to share to start off the year. We wanted to thank everyone for your support. I’m sure we were able to bring a few smiles to a child’s face and hopefully many more to come.
