The Audio Book of the Year is….
Friday, January 7th, 2011The results are in! But first, let’s review the nominations once more. The contenders competing for best audio book of the year are:
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, by Stieg Larsson
Freedom, by Jonathan Franzen
Room, by Emma Donoghue
Fall of Giants, by Ken Follett
All great audio books of course, but only one could be our winner.
The best audio book of the year voted by you is The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, by Stieg Larsson.
With a whopping 46% of votes, Larsson took the lead, but Fall of Giants wasn’t too far behind generating 33% of votes. Room received 11% and Freedom placed last with 9% of votes. With thousands of stories released each year, coming in 4th doesn’t seem so bad. This is a great opportunity to check out the 4 top audio books of the year, before 2011 gets on its way with even more. I’m going to confess, I’m currently listening to The Millennium Trilogy, and thus far, I am completely addicted. I would recommend any one of these 4 audio books to anyone looking for an engaging story.
