I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. The way the book is set up makes the "sessions" vague and difficult to follow. The primary points are also less than clear, and basically it came down to "be happy and be a good listener." That is certainly an over simplification, as there are 8 other concepts, but there is likely some better format or presentation for this kind of information.
Even though the ideas on this CD are things I have heard more than once - it has helped me to reinforce my positive attitude. The author has a pleasant voice to listen to so that his ideas, even though are not new, make it easier to continue to improve positive attitude toward myself and others.
I listened to this book more than one time and think I could keep this CD in my library. It restates many things that are common to a study of this type, but indeed a great reminder and one that lifts our abilities.
I like this CD set. Some of the ideas are pretty predictable, but others are original. They are well-presented, and the CD is motivational. It got me thinking about what I'm doing and things I could be doing better and gave me some good ideas to move in that direction. Overall, an excellent listen ..
i thought it was a good book with many hints about improve your personality, as dealing with realationships with people.
Worth getting, but only after Brian Tracy, Robert Kyosaki, and T. Maxwell's books
This was an ok book, but it was geared more towards business meetings and giving lectures in my opinion. I skipped through some of it, just because it was hard to concentrate on the book without my mind wandering to other subjects. It didn't give examples of how to be charasmatic, which I like to hear examples of how to use the tools the book is giving you.
Though I am not sure it would help! There is no way this guy can spot charisma, heck he wouldn't know it if it bit him. It is interesting to ponder his theory that charismatic action can be learned, but beyond that, this book is not very good. Never got into it, never finished it. Just not a good one for me!
This was a very easy listening CD and very pratical. It definitely will make you a better person.
Save yourself the trouble of listening to this one. He spends the first half delivering promises about the content he does not deliver and telling you to look your best with good grooming and no distracting tics. His conclusion is to get yourself a personal coach (such as himself) because you can't take self improvement seriously without help. This one may be helpful if you believe that all your misunderstandings are due to your poor listening skills and want hear the principles of giving a speech.
