Contest

Overview

Dr Stephen Swain and his daughter are brought to the New York State Library and sealed inside it. There Swain is told that he has been chosen to represent Earth in an intergalactic fight-to-the-death, a contest known as the Presidian. It is held once every hundred years (it was every thousand years in the first version of the book) to determine the greatest species in the galaxy. The only rule: seven contestants enter, only one leaves. That’s right. It’s a fight to the death.

A SLOW START, A BRILLIANT BUILDUP AND A SPECTACULAR ENDING. YOU REALLY GET IN TOUCH WITH STEVEN SWAINE & DAUGHTER AND THE TERRIBLE WAY THE AUTHER HAS DEVISED TO KILL OFF NOT ONLY THE OTHER CONTESTANTS BUT ALSO THE PEOPLE FOUND IN THE MAISE. WELL DONE
