Overview

He's Just Not That Into You -- based on the popular episode of Sex and the City -- educates otherwise smart women on how to tell when a guy just doesn't like them enough, so they can stop wasting time making excuses for a dead-end relationship.

Reexamining familiar scenarios and classic mindsets that keep us in unsatisfying relationships, Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo's wise and wry understanding of the sexes spares women hours of waiting by the phone, obsessing over the details with sympathetic girlfriends, and hoping his mixed messages really mean "I'm in love with you and want to be with you."

He's Just Not That Into You is provocative, hilarious, and, above all, intoxicatingly liberating. It knows you're a beautiful, smart, funny woman who deserves better. The next time you feel the need to start "figuring him out," consider the glorious thought that maybe He's Just Not That Into You. And then set yourself loose to find the one who is.

Worth it

The first third of the book is fantastic. The rest is written as questions and answers, so gets a little mundane. All in all it's worth taking a listen there is a ton of true and relateable info. Very humorous tone too.

I just wasn't that into it.

I was recommended this book by a few girl friends, and so was looking forward to the insight into my relationships that it would offer. After the first chapter I could pretty much predict the rest, and didn't need to complete the audiobook (although I did). The advice is commonsense, and not particularly liberating or earth shattering if you don't already think of yourself as irresistible to everyone you meet. It's more of a reinforcement than a revelation.

The advice is great!

I just was curious to see what advice was in this book. It sounded good but actually the advice is great. It helped me to understand some of the guys I dated that were a little weird. But the authors are right, when a man loves you he goes out of his way to see you, make you happy, cares for your well being, and finds ways to enrich your life which is the exact description of my husband of four years. Of all the guys I dated he is the only one who didn't have mental baggage or a big lack of maturity or some other problem. So dreams do come true as long as your patient and keep plugging. After all, I bagged my guitar player!!

Where was this book

Where was this book when I was sixteen and beginning to date. Heck where was this book when I met my first husband. Talk about wasting my pretty. I begged, chased, cajoled, and finally won the big prize. The booby prize that is. I am thinking about buying a copy for each of my nieces as they head off for college. I wish I'd had a friend at the factory like this guy.

Really redundant. Very plain. Not interesting. Not enlightening. Would not recommend. Worthless.

While a few of the examples were a bit much, it's heart was in the right place. Entertaining and could be a light bulb moment for a few women I know.

The format of the delivery was confusing to listen to at first, but once I understand what's going on, then I enjoyed listening to it. It's funny and clever. I actually have a copy of the CD and am now lending it to my single sister =)

While somewhat entertaining, it was quite repetitive and could have been half as long. I could relate a few examples to friends' experiences.

Couldn't make it through the first 5 minutes...

I can handle some "chick lit" but this was absolutely awful. I never read the book and definitely won't (by choice). Sent it back as quickly as I possibly could.

So true, funny, a crass, and very helpful! I highly recommend it to any single American gal. It will save you time and energy and pain as you date.
