80% done with this book and I am already and dreading the moment when I am left hanging at the end, as this is the first of three, you know it's going to happen. I only hope that book two is out soon or I will be left waiting again as I was with the Odd Thomas series by Koontz. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good fiction with a modern twist on old vampire lore. Very good reader, easy to listen to.
One of the best vampire books I've listened to. I can't wait for book 2. Hurry Guillermo!
Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan team up to write this dark story of a mysterious virus sweeping through NYC. A cross between "The Andromeda Strain" and "Salem's Lot" it has great characters, a semi-plausible premise, and a pace that keeps you interested from start to finish. Ron Perlman's voice is easy to listen to and lends itself to the dark nature of the story. Can't wait for the next installment.
