I love to read legal thrillers and am an animal lover. The Andy Carpenter series blends the two well. What sets David Rosenfelt's series apart from most is the beloved pet does distract from the focus of the story. The dogs come in when pets are necessary or to relieve tension. I never forget the legal battle when I am reading his books. I think I have been Unleashed to read more Andy Carpenter books.
I truly enjoyed this book. It was suspensful, funny and had plot twists to keep you guessing. Please be patient at the beginning and you'll be rewarded. The book follows two disparate plot lines, and if you're not paying attention you will get confused. Eventually the two plot lines will come together and you'll be rewarded.
