Success means something different for everyone. For Bill Rancic, it meant taking the things he loved -- like coming up with exciting ideas and never working a 9-to-5 job -- and translating that into a profitable business. By the time he was thirty, he'd achieved every goal he set for himself by creating an online cigar company from scratch and then using those profits to begin a venture in real estate.

Then an opportunity came by he just couldn't pass up -- a competition to test his own personal drive and street smarts against a talented pool of professional salesmen, marketers, and MBAs, where the prize was working side by side with the master of the deal himself, Donald Trump.

Being on The Apprentice made Bill Rancic an overnight celebrity. But his winning strategies were developed long before that, and in You're Hired, he uses examples from his own life to prove that the secrets of success can be found within us all.

Enjoyable Listen during Commute

I really enjoyed listening to this book. He reads the book with the same passion as he builds his companies. While there isn't a whole lot of 'wow! never thought of that before' material, you can't help but be uplifted and inspired about how he's tackled some of his business ventures. I really like the story aspect of it, as compared to other books that list the 10 things needed to succeed. All-in-all a good listen!

Interesting pre-story

It was interesting to learn of the author's background prior to the Apprentice. Bill Rancic reads the book himself which makes it more believable. Very well done.

Good Introductory to the "Real World"

Nothing to "write home about." However, this book is very interesting and keeps your attention. Most of what is discussed is basic business building 101, but I enjoyed hearing about Bill's trials and tribulations as he went for it and got the opportunity of a lifetime. Great job, Bill! I only wish that I can get there too!

I'm a fan of the apprentice so I really didn't expect this to have much insight into real business-WOW was I mistaken! Bill did discuss the show at times but I was very surprised to see some real business lessons. Bill didn't go to business school but you wouldn't know it from reading this book. It was a real surprise to learn some very real lessons with real life examples. Highly recommended to fans of the show and those seeking practical business knowledge.

Bill, read his own book which was nice. Of course if you never saw the TV show "The Apprentice" you might not even care. It was nice to hear him catalog his life and success up to this point. Hearing his incredible tale of good luck is inspiring. This entertaining audio was clear anc crisp sounding, and his voice was also good. (why do I say this, because believe it when you come across a bad sounding book or poor reader, you will wish someone warned you).
