Overview

Zig Ziglar has dedicated his life to teaching people the art of successful living. However, he has discovered that "being successful" is only part of life's challenge. Success is very often a short-lived high. People arrive at the goal line in life, look into the end zone and discover that it contains many of the things that money will buy, but it contains very little of what money won't buy. Zig believes that yes, success is worth it, but it is not enough. The next step is to move from success into "significance."

In "A View from the Top" Zig will teach you:

  • to bring in spiritual dimention in all areas of your life
  • the power of giving others a hand up, not just a hand out
  • to make radical changes with minute steps
  • to develop a wall of gratitude
  • to combine your mission "and" your vision

"A View from the Top" will help you achieve success and significance, so when you reach the top you'll find the view simply magnificent.

The book wasn't bad. My kids can not stand listening to his drawl, but I didn't mind too much. I found much of the religious stuff offensive- not because religion is offensive, but because he often suggests that Christians have better lives- not true! I know many happy, healthy, philanthropic non christians. It would have been nice to have him acknowledge that. Truths are truths and that is what most of the books consists of- if you live with intergrity you are bound to do well.

    Same old crap

Zigler has good ideas and is likely a good motivational speaker in person. His book is the same old stuff over and over again and is overly exaggerated and dramatic. Felt it was a waste of time so never finished. I made it thought one CD.

I am a Zig fan, but this is not his best work. There are good ideas in typical Zig fashion, but not as impactful as other works. This would have been much better if it was shorter and more focused. The religious/spiritual topic was 2 out of 5 cds. If you want to be religiously inspired listen to Joel Olsteen.

Zig does it again. his 6 CD series is packed with life changing goodies. Zig revelas openly the pitfalls and hurts of his own life in order to show how what he is teaching is real, and something he's experienced first hand. Anthony Robbins can't hold a candle to Zig Ziglar's common sense strategies to positive life-change. Without the "giant's" hype, Zig makes plain the steps one must take to achieve your dreams and goals, not just get you excited. Zig is unashamedly Christian. Zig makes it clear what his beliefs are, and is one of the few speakers who is enlightened enough to know that the Spiritual side of life can't be ignored if we are to be truly successful in life. Some people may not like his openness. Well stop being so narrow minded and bigoted. If you can't handle someone sharing his/her faith with you, you're not going to get far in life. Grab this series, it will change your life.

I like Zig very much but this audio was a let down for me. I got very tired of him repeating the name of the audio at the end of every chapter. His insights are great but it was all pretty standard stuff in the self help arena.
