Slow and tedious. If ever there was a good excuse for an abridged version of a book this is it. It took everything I had to keep listening. Meaning I had nothing else to listen to.
I was able to finish the book, but I was usually irritated. I had forgotten that I had tried another book by the same author. Perhaps I made it through the first CD. Had I had another book available I absolutely would not have kept listening to this one. There was no payoff for the prolonged suffering I endured.
I have read the whole Alan Gregory series and I eagerly await each new book. Having lived in Colorado at one time, I enjoy hearing about the front range of the Rockies and Boulder, in particular. These are great books, but are best if you know the history of the characters.
