I would encourage you to try this book for its multitude of stories, some familiar, some unfamiliar. However, I found the tone condescending and inappropriate for the adult portion of the audience.

An awesome sweeping narrative

An awesome sweeping narrative. Engaging and informative. Everyone in the car enjoyed it -- from the preschooler who was captivated by the stories to the teenager who "already knows everything". Even my history buff husband learned a few new things.
