I also agree with the other reviews on here. This is a great tale of Robin Hood that is more realistic than others. It has drama, action, history... everything a good book needs. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to get out of the norm and listen to a truly great story.

Excellent retelling of the Robin Legend. Great characters. Almost seems like it could really have happened. Not overly melodramatic.

This is not the Robin Hood of yore! While there is some angst on the part of the reader as a result of the dramatic reworking of the story, the result is mesmerizing. The author manages to weave a story that is far more plausible than the Hollywood Robin we have grown accustomed too and everything really works. Lawhead is really an outstanding talent.

Stephen Lawhead has long been my favorite Author. I'm glad to see him here. The Hood is an entertaining retelling of the Robin Hood story. Lawhead makes some historical leaps but he really gives you a feel for how people lived in the time period. It's historical fiction at it's best!
