Oh I'm such a Carlin fan and I couldn't understand this cd. I mean, I literally couldn't understand the audio on it. It was so poorly recorded and the material, although I never heard some of it before...I couldn't bear to listen to it. I sent it back before I was finished. I think it must have been one of those recordings that were dug up from the stone age.

This Carlin is too early. The savage genius hasn't emerged at the time of this recording. I suggest viewing his recent HBO specials or going to see him live at this point in time instead to get the full essence of the man's wit.

I am a huge George Carlin fan. His work can be funny, insightful and erudite. He seems to get sharper with each new release. That being said, this particular collection is childish, purile and boring. Its only about half and hour long (mercifully), and their isn't a single moment on the CD worth listening to. It hasn't soured me to his work in general but this collection is just another thirty minutes of life I'd life to have back.

Without a doubt the worst Carlin material I've read or heard.
