Three men stand in the shadows of a stage and the shadows of the port of Dublin, coming forward in turn to speak -- A young man in his 20s; a man in his late 30s; an old man. They talk about their lives in Dublin, reflecting the different pressures and interests of their generation... yet perhaps there is a connection?
Author of the phenomenally successful The Weir, McPherson paints an extremely funny, poignant and very real portrait of contemporary Dublin and the Dubliners of today.
Conor McPherson was born in Dublin, where he still lives. His plays include This Lime Tree Bower, St. Nicholas, The Weir, Port Authority and Dublin Carol. He has written three films, I Went Down, Saltwater and The Actors, and directed the last two.
