FOUR ESSENTIALS OF A DREAM RELATIONSHIP Nearly all of us have an ideal of what a ?dream? relationship would be, but very few of us are living in one. Three decades of research and clinical practice have led Harville Hendrix to pinpoint four essential ?non-negotiable? keys to creating and sustaining a healthy, loving relationship. In this workshop, he will help couples: understand what prevents them from achieving the type of relationship they aspire to; discover how to cultivate those habits that can create the conditions that permit such a relationship to blossom; and practice the Imago Dialogue, a three-step process that offers us a highly effective tool to transform our dream about our relationship into reality. FINDING & KEEPING THE LOVE YOU WANT Harville Hendrix is one of the foremost therapists and authors in the world on the subject of relationships. This presentation explores the role the unconscious plays in choosing a partner and will show you how to avert anguish, stimulate growth, and gain insight to your patterns of attraction and conflict. You will learn to pinpoint unmet childhood needs and replace self-defeating traits with effective skills. Whether you?re in a relationship or are having trouble connecting with the right person, this lecture will show you how to get the love you want! Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., is a clinical pastoral counselor who is known internationally for his work with couples. He and his wife Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D. co-created Imago Relationship Therapy and developed the concept of ?conscious partnership.? Their own partnership and collaboration has resulted in nine books on intimate relationships and parenting, including the bestselling book Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples. I have learned a lot from Harville Hendrix. His work is profoundly insightful.

"Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., and Helen Hunt, M.A., are co-founders of the Institute for Imago Relationship Therapy in Orlando, Fla. They are collaborators in the creation of Imago Relationship Therapy and the concepts of ""conscious marriage"" and ""conscious parenting.""

Married for 25 years, they have written several bestsellers including Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples and Keeping the Love You Find: A Personal Guide, authored by Hendrix. He and Hunt are co-authors of The Couples Companion: The Personal Companion, Giving the Love that Heals: A Guide for Parents, and The Parenting Companion.

Hendrix is a pastoral counselor who has spent more than 35 years as a therapist, educator, workshop leader and public lecturer. For the past 15 years, he has specialized in studying intimate partnerships and couples therapy.

Before his entry into private practice, Hendrix was on the faculty of Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University. He is a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Ga., which has awarded him an honorary doctorate of humane letters. He has a theology degree from the Theological Seminary in New York, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in religion and psychology from the Divinity School, University of Chicago, where he was a fellow.

Hunt has earned three degrees from Southern Methodist University. She has worked in the secular women's movement for the past 17 years. As president of the Sister Fund ? an organization that aims to empower women and girls socially, economically, politically and spiritually ? she has been instrumental in founding other women's organizations in New York and Dallas.

It is Hunt's belief that redressing the injustice toward women and girls has a positive impact on the family, enabling it to become a foundational and functional unit within society. She is also interested in the ways in which the dialogue within feminist theology intersects with Imago theory.

The couple has six children and lives in northern New Jersey. "
