A well-written book with a profound message! A must read for anyone wanting to make sense of this life. I must admit, the first chapter or so was a bit hard to understand but after that it became difficult to put down. For me it provided the explainations about many of the things I've wondered about throughout my life. Not everyone will be ready to absorb the messages in his book, and that's ok. I had previously started reading this book in the 90's and got about as far as page 30. However, when I picked it up several years ago, it completely drew me in. If you are ready to bring more meaning into your life and decrease emotional pain, this book is a gift for YOU. ????????????
Sounds good in the synopsis, but boring and simplistic to an extreme. As a philosophy scholar, i guess I was hoping for more. I forced myself to listen to the first two chapters and it was painful. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. If this review would let me give it no "0" stars I would
This is certainly a must read on basic to advanced fundamaental spirituality referencing much practical science and physics and psychology we can all understand.
This book is fantastic! One of those special "path changing" books. Some very interesting theories and good explanations. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in why we are here and what differences we can make in our lives today and tomorrow.
I was disappointed with this book as were other reviewers. I kept wondering if he is the only person on the planet who's ever thought of this - which I don't think he is because what I heard reminded me somewhat of "The Celestine Prophesy", just in a different presentation. I also found that I had to keep rewinding the disk because he wasn't holding my attention.
Zukav, who read it himself, presents what is his view of evolutionary reincarnation of an eternal soul in a pompous, dogmatic style full of self-invented jargon and with no basis, background or justification. That said, he does have many interesting points, that are distillations of many other great thinkers and writers. But the main premise is much better read in Richard Bach's elegant "Jonathan Livingston Seagull". Beter still to read anything by Ken Wilber, which is far better researched.
This book was a big disappointment to me as a Christian. I did not make it through the first disc. I started with Darwinism and continued to getting to know you soul. Your souls is connected to God and it is your connection to him that creates inner peace and harmony that this book speaks of.
