This was an interesting audio book. I learned a lot. But at the expense of having to listen to a lot of useless, godforsaken music. There was absolutely no reason for it.
I was quite impressed by the author's, Dominic O'Brien's, presentation and techniques to improve memory. He is the world's memory champion and explains his techniques in detail of how to learn and retain information. I've always had trouble remembering people's names, but after this book, I've dramatically improved my ability to do so. The book is interesting, well presented and has useful exercises you can do right in your car. I did nearly all them while driving to/from work. You'll learn alot if you listen to this one.
Thhis was a great audiobook. He takes you through exercises from beginner to more advanced to improve your memory and mind. I attended a Christmas party this past weekend and was able to remember everyone I met and something about them using the techniques in this book. I'm sold.
I have an awful memory and this book really helped. It gave me many useful techniques to improve my memory, they were practical and they worked. At the start of listening to the cds I could memorize about 5 numbers, and at the end I was able to memorize 22. Memorizing objects and names is really easy for me now too.
This is the third memory book I listened to and my favorite so far. The excercises are easier and seem to be more practical for the average busy person. The method for remembering names and numbers is better than the other books I "audio-ed". I recommend it.
so far.. awesome.. I did the first exercise.. and have 10 things memorized.. and now.. I can't get them out of my head!! That was 24 hours ago!
O'Brien is internationally renowned for his phenomenal feats of memory, such as memorizing 2, 385, randomly generated binary digits in 30 minutes in30 minutes.
