Where the heck are the editors? Has someone simply decided that, so long as the word vampire appears somewhere in the text there's no need for the bothersome process of editing? "Put this manuscript on the vampire printing conveyer belt stat! No, no! There's no time for editing! This trash is hot. Wait too long and people will start noticing that they're written by trained monkeys. Hurry! Hurry!" Don't even get me started on the author. Sheesh. It only got a 1 because I couldn't assign a 0.
I really enjoy reading and listening to the stories of this author. This is good listen for people who love the new Vampire romance novels.
I enjoy Ms. Feehans books immensely. they are a quick and fun read to get the pulse running. Not just a novel about creatures of myth but readable stories with plot action and many twists. I will continue to read her work.
This book was fun, mindless entertainment. The "steamy" scenes were quite good. It's fantasy, but the story went a little beyond believable, even for fantasy. It became sort of repetetive and predictable and the narrator's ennunciation was sloppy in places (police sounded like "pleece"). If you want to give your mind a break, it's a decent choice!
I have all Christine Feehan novels on paperback. But I wanted to listen to it. You miss lesson audio versus reading it.
