Overview

Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words ? and tired of his safe life at home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the ?Great Perhaps.? Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up, and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.Looking for Alaska brilliantly chronicles the indelible impact one life can have on another. A stunning debut, it marks John Green's arrival as an important new voice in contemporary fiction.

I hated this book. It started off interesting but the plot didn’t really go anywhere. The narrator was amazing though. He did a good job at giving different characters different voices to help you visualize the story better.

Green, John

John Green attended a boarding school in Alabama not unlike Alaska's Culver Creek. After graduating from college in 2000, he worked as a chaplain at a children's hospital. John now writes for several national magazines, both print and Web-based. He is also a commentator for National Public Radio's afternoon newsmagazine, "All Things Consi
