I like this series a lot. It can move a bit slowly at times, but the entire series is better than most I have either read or listened to.
A little slow in parts but the characters were charming and I enjoyed getting to know them. I found the readers voice very pleasing and easy to listen to. The use of modern world accents was distracting to me though. Ce'Nedra’s accent was particularly odd.
Great character development and flow. Not very much action at times, but still continued to keep my interest.
David Eddings was born in Washington in 1931 and grew up near Seattle. He graduated from the University of Washington and went on to serve in the US Army. Subsequently, he worked as a buyer for the Boeing Aircraft Company and taught college-level English. His career as a fantasy writer, with his wife Leigh, has been spectacular.
