For lovers of period fiction, this is a wonderful read. It weaves known Norse mythology with strong fictional characters and moves of a satisfying conclusion at the very end. It also stresses the value of underappreciated value women in a culture that traditionally values sons over daughters. The narrator did a great job of relating the story, as well as giving life to the characters' voices, whether male or female.
I could not tear myself away from this book! Both the author and the narrator are gifted. Thank you!
I really truly enjoyed this book and I thought the narrator did a great job. I fell in love with this world and I can’t wait to see what becomes of the temple boy!
